FOREST, 20 CM (8 IN), YEAR 1890

FRENCH POLITICAL GLOBE  "FOREST", PRODUCED CIRCA 1890.
 
Old globe without equinoctial inclination with a nice patina and elegant appearance. It presents evident restorations, which is why it is offered for sale at a low price (see photographs), the sphere is made of stucco with the map sections glued by hand, the lacquered wooden base and the bronze finial.
 
Measurements:  20 cm (8 inches) in diameter and 37 cm in height.
